Jesus taught his disciples by showing them how to love people. He sent them to cast out evil spirits, heal their neighbors through prayer, and proclaim the Kingdom of God is near. They were given the power to bring wholeness and holiness back into people's lives by the power of the Holy Spirit. This is still the mission of the church. We desire the chains of evil to be broken the world to be repaired and the image of God to be restored in every man, woman, and child on the earth. It is because of this we tell people about what Jesus has done in our lives. We call this testimony, and we invite people to experience His life-saving power in their lives by giving all in service to God. We believe all people need this love and power so look for opportunities to share.
One organization that equips people how to be excellent evangelists is World Methodist Evangelism. WME works through multi-generational leadership on six continents. We share a common vision, a common set of values, and an unwavering commitment to being channels of God's Holy Spirit in the world. As we work together to share the good news of Jesus Christ, we balance justice and mercy, humility and boldness, listening and leadership.
